How does cashier shift reconciliation work?
When starting a shift, the cashier enters their opening cash float. Throughout service, all cash, card, and UPI collections are tracked. At shift close, the cashier performs a blind cash count. The system calculates expected versus actual cash and produces a variance report, alerting managers to discrepancies immediately.
Can guests split bills across different payment methods?
Yes. Staff can split a table bill by covers, items, or custom amounts. A single bill can be settled using mixed payments (for example, ₹1,200 via UPI and ₹800 in cash) with individual payment references recorded.
Does Indostra calculate Indian GST tax slabs automatically?
Yes. The system automatically calculates CGST and SGST splits (such as standard 5% restaurant GST or 18% where applicable) and prints compliant tax invoices. Sales summaries can be exported directly for monthly GSTR-1 filing.
