At Indostra, we design and build the infrastructure layer for modern Indian restaurants, QSRs, and food service venues. Restaurant kitchens are high-velocity, real-time operating environments. Unlike traditional software where a latency of one or two seconds is negligible, a delayed ticket in a busy tandoor or pantry station directly translates to friction on the dining floor and cold food for the guest.

Our Technical Challenges & Focus

Our engineering team focuses on three key pillars: low-latency communication, strict data isolation, and robust hardware integration. We maintain a reliable websocket system that routes ordering actions from a customer's browser directly to physical thermal printers on-site in under 800 milliseconds. Building KOT routing engines that parse dynamic modifiers and route them to separate kitchen stations (e.g., drinks to the bar, appetizers to the pantry) requires rigorous algorithm design and state management.

Additionally, security and multi-tenant scoping are fundamental to our architecture. We implement strict multi-venue security policies. Using backend validation techniques, mandatory venue scoping, and custom NestJS role-based guards, we ensure that restaurant staff can never access data across unassigned venues. Our system prevents privilege escalation, ensuring the integrity of restaurant roles (Owners, Managers, and Waiters) remains watertight.
